Honda Jet Debuts at Oshkosh

By Paul Crowe

The HondaJet we mentioned just the other day debuted at Oshkosh today. Seems they've been testing in Greensboro, North Carolina for two years which makes it pretty amazing that it's been under wraps for so long. They have a deal with GE to jointly develop jet engines for the business jet market. Just the other day they said they had no specific plans, Things change pretty quick … [Read more...]

Rossi and the British MotoGP

By Paul Crowe

Valentino Rossi won the British MotoGP last week and we're right back to where we were. When Nicky Hayden won very convincingly over here at Laguna Seca it showed he has the talent and equipment to beat everyone else and with Colin Edwards second you saw the same thing but it also raised the question about track familiarity as a factor. I already mentioned this but now, back on … [Read more...]

Motorcycle derestrictors

By Paul Crowe

A short while ago I mentioned the Nikko G pack derestrictor and I just found two more similar products. Muzzy's has the Bonneville Box that works for the ZX-12R and the Timing Retard Eliminator from Ivan's Performance Products. The Bonneville Box eliminates the 300km/hr top speed limit but is only made for the 2001 and 2002 ZX12R. The Timing Retard Eliminator is for … [Read more...]

Motorcycle Helmet Safety Standards

Since The Kneeslider is offering motorcycle helmets these days, I was doing some digging into helmet safety standards and what all of the different labels really mean. I read the Motorcyclist Magazine helmet study closely and it really is quite the eye opener. Most of us look at the top brands for the most part, make sure all of the "appropriate" safety standards are met, … [Read more...]

Harley Davidson 2006 models

By Paul Crowe

Harley Davidson has introduced the new HD models for 2006. The release is pretty much new paint as far as I can tell. They have a "new" Night Rod that looks like a flat black Street Rod. Not a bad bike, mind you, but when they say new it's stretching the definition of the word. A couple of other models are pretty much the same idea, a little different combination of accessories … [Read more...]

Honda fuel cell motorcycle design study

By Paul Crowe

The Northumbria University Show 2005 put the spotlight on the work of some of their students and this fuel cell motorcycle based on the Honda Cub is very interesting. It has the future look pretty well nailed. Once you get away from the internal combustion engine, you have a lot of leeway in your design. Are we ready for the brave new world? via Treehugger … [Read more...]
