For a website with the name "The Kneeslider," you might think this little bit of info would be pretty well settled around here, but have you ever wondered, when, exactly, motorcycle racers began hanging off of their bikes with their knees out when rounding a turn? It wasn't that long ago, riders remained firmly seated with knees in place, but now riders drag their knees and … [Read more...]
Harley Davidson Street 750 Flat Tracker
How about a new Harley Davidson Street 750 flat tracker? It looks like they're planting the seed to see what the interest is in getting flat track racing into the X Games. They set up Street 750s in flat track clothing and took them out on the dirt. If you ask me, I think it's a great idea. Ever since Harley Davidson introduced the Street 750 and Street 500, there's been … [Read more...]
Musket V-Twin Advances with Alloy Barrels Plus New Rods and Crankshaft
It's been some time since I last checked to see how the Musket V-Twin was moving along and I was surprised to see Aniket has designed, made patterns, cast and machined all new alloy barrels for the engine. He also machined new billet, roller bearing connecting rods and a new crankshaft, too. We're getting pretty close to seeing a completely new engine with fewer and fewer … [Read more...]

1969 BMW R69S with Hoske Tank
This classic 1969 BMW R69S was one of two purchased by Mike Wolfe from the TV show American Pickers. The current owner bought it from him. It has the original Wixom bags, but even better is the Hoske tank. The Hoske tank has about 8 gallons of capacity, I believe, and really adds to the look. In 2012 it was thoroughly checked out and the owner says it was running fine when … [Read more...]
1963 Junak M10 350
A little over a year ago, I heard of a Junak for the first time when I saw a V-Twin engine conversion made from one of these singles. It looked great and ran really well, but this is the first time I've seen one of these for sale. It's an extremely low mile bike, only 400 miles since new, so it's not even broken in. Yes, it runs just fine. The seller says only 23 of these … [Read more...]
