2006 Biker Build Off

By Paul Crowe

There's nothing like being in the right place at the right time. Looks like Billy Bartels was at Willow Springs taking photos when the bikes and crew arrived for the showdown between Roland Sands and Jesse Rooke for the competition portion of the 2006 Biker Build Off. He posted some photos which show Jesse Rooke's KTM powered machine along with some of the other goings on, like … [Read more...]

MotoGP from Donington Park this weekend

By Paul Crowe

The MotoGP moves to Donington Park this weekend. Nicky Hayden has a nice 42 point lead in the championship race but every race is exciting because so many are racing well. Lots of injuries the last couple of weeks which may play a part but so far, even Rossi is running well in practice sessions. The race will be televised on SpeedTV as always. MotoGP from Donington … [Read more...]

Here's how they describe it: Each episode of “Super Bikes!” is produced to mirror the edgy, fast paced lifestyle of … [Read more...]

Production Motorcycle Top Speed Records

By Paul Crowe

In the last few days there have been a number of stories about the fastest production sedan (Brabus Mercedes, 225.19mph), the fastest production pickup (Holden HSV Maloo R8 Ute, 168.66mph, no, I never heard of it either) and not long ago, the fastest production car (Bugatti Veyron, 253mph). Nothing wrong with touting the abilities of cars and trucks but it seems so politically … [Read more...]

Royal Enfield Diesel Conversion

By Paul Crowe

A little while back we mentioned a Royal Enfield for sale that was set up to run on biodiesel. Here's a very well laid out website by Charles Altmann who shows you how to take a Royal Enfield Bullet, and after removing the gasoline engine, install a 406cc, single cylinder, direct injection Yanmar diesel or Yanmar clone in it's place. He has a lot of photos and even has diagrams … [Read more...]
