AMA Prostar drag racing on Speed TV

By Paul Crowe

With the road racing season over, this weekend you might want to catch the one hour telecast of the November 11-13, 2005 Diamond PowerSports World Finals from Gainesville, Florida. It will be on Speed TV Sunday, December 4th at 3PM ET. One hour of really fast drag bikes. Cool.

I’ve never seen drag racing on motorcycles in real life but from what I’ve seen on the TV, it looks a lot more complicated than drag racing cars. I see a lot of the bike’s rear wheels spinning somewhat out of control while others get a smoother start.

    Is this typical?
