Alternative energy motorcycles

By Paul Crowe

In the last week or so there has been an enormous amount of press devoted to alternative energy power sources for motor vehicles. Just yesterday, President Bush was at a biodiesel plant and talking up the advantages of using that fuel. Hydrogen has been promoted by numerous government initiatives and we’re hearing about some talks between GM and Toyota on the subject of hybrid cars. All together, these developments signal a real push in this direction.

One of the most popular posts we’ve had here at The Kneeslider (judging by the visits) was the Thunder Star turbo diesel that I still think is an excellent concept, huge torque and 150mpg! I would love to see more of these kinds of ideas turning up in motorcycle showrooms so everyone could get a chance to try them out and support them in the most basic way, by buying one.
