Alfabike Follow Up

By Paul Crowe

Motorcycles built by Chris Barber, builder of the Alfabike

After we featured the Alfabike a few days ago, some comments said it looked like it would be tough to kick start. One comment by sweetlemonaid provided a link to some photos of the bike during the build and there’s also a link on the site to a video showing the builder, Chris Barber, kick starting the bike. Doesn’t look hard at all! By the way, Chris has built a few other bikes that look really cool. Check them all out.

Thanks for the link!!

It’s impractical and kinda crazy, but I’d still rather have it than a Harley. I’d just have to rework the rear end to give it some suspension…

I agree with guitargeek–different, “kinda crazy,” but not a Harley. I have 3 cycles, and one is a converted H1 drag bike to the street. This forum points out several
important examples of “not a Harley.” Look at the Lazareth Roadster V6 and the
Mazda Rotary Engine Motorcycle. Another example, yet to be completed, is here:

By the way, the article in “The Horse” is issue #47-January 2005 in regard to the
    “Alfabike,”

I really like the Alfabike , everytime I see it, I do that mental calculation to see if I could scrape together 10G’s, and I already have a list of mods I want to do to it. It has also made me consider building my own, It’s only a Harley rigid frame and gear box, I already got the whole bike minus the motor laying around my house.
