As noted in the last post, some of the motorcycles built by Doctor Robert Harms are for sale. This one is another fascinating hybrid, it’s a 1938 BSA Star powered by the 500cc single from a 2002 Buell Blast. This differs slightly from the description in the eBay listing, but since my information comes from Doctor Robert Harms himself as given to me for our previous article on this bike, I’ll stick with that.
The extensive parts sourcing and repurposing on this bike are almost as radical as on the other build, it just looks more subtle. A CB750 front wheel with Buell drive is installed out back. How many belt drive BSAs have you seen? A Suzuki Savage wheel is up front with a Buell caliper. That’s a Harley V-Rod headlight.
Just go to our article for all of the details, but if you want to put this in your garage, just like the other listing, you better hurry, it’s no reserve and going soon. I hate the thought of this bike going to someone who doesn’t realize what he’s buying.
