Ducati 999 Beach Racer
Everywhere you look, street bikes are turning into off road machines, at least it seems that way, maybe you just find what you're looking for. We just showed you a whole bunch of Sportsters outfitted for the dirt and now comes this Ducati Beach Racer. It started out as a 2003 Ducati 999 but it's been repurposed for life where the pavement ends.
Ducati 999 Beach Racer
Modifications include fully adjustable Nemesis race ECU, custom wiring loom, waterproof front-mounted ECU and battery case, custom race exhaust, rear wheel modified for 150 section 17" knobbly, crash bars/rad protectors, mx top clamp and bars and quick action throttle. Dyno-tuned by Triple Z Motorcycles.
Someone down in New Zealand thought it made perfect sense to put knobby tires and long legs on it, the end result looks alright to me. It's currently for sale and if you're down among the Kiwis, you might want to check it out.

Looks like it needs a skid plate to protect that exhaust and crankcase, other than that…nice.

This is the first Duc I’ve seen that made my jaw drop.

I agree that the back tire is on backwards. The tread is facing the wrong way, for self cleaning. Maybe he is mounting a front tire on the back.
Then again, things are reversed in the southern hemisphere (New Zealand). I know that a bath tub drains in the wrong direction!
It would make a great rototiller.

Whats the point? Really… I mean, who’d seriously want to ride it. You’d be spent in 1 hour and your mate on a yz250f would absolutely lunch you in the bends!!!! and howd you go pulling it out of a creek that you just stalled it in etc…

Well for about 9,500 of our dollars, it’s a pretty nice looking jaw dropper. Of course ther’s shipping ’cause we can’t go ride it home.
But I’d have to agree that it would be a handful with all that power in the bush. Maybe put it on a stand in the living room?
It’s for the SAND guys… not the dirt….Mx track…..single track….etc.
