The Neiman Marcus Christmas book has a little something you might be interested in, it's called the Confederate Fighter from the Confederate Motor Company. They're making just 45 and you can have yours for only $110,000. If you want to blend in, this is not your bike.
The catalog makes it seem they have a special edition of some sort but there are specs for a 2009 Confederate Fighter on the Confederate website so a standard version may be coming, too. The catalog also says "190 mph of performance." Whatever the case, it's quite a striking appearance.

Not what I’d consider a daily commuter, but a definite head turner for the bobber crowd.
The tux however HAS to go…. its just not RIGHT on that bike….

oke, so the shape is… extraordinary, i still can’t figure how to turn this bike, and by the look of the engine it’s very very close to your d*#k might want to have thicker underwear behind the tux. but definitely suit the tux, but you have to go with dunhill leather gloves.
this is luxury. this is a neck turner. no, i’m not gay, but hey, you gotta admit they looks better then straight guy in front of the eye of women. so if u wanna have a more successful life in that area, i strongly suggest you learn from them.

I totally admired the Wraith as a wonderful piece of contemporary and maybe timeless design with a strong sense of “motorcycle spirit” as well…
But this so called “fighter” suggests to me that at the Confederate company have lost the right way.
Looks cool, but the only way a feet forward, sit upright, unfaired bike will ever go 190mph is if you shoot it out of a cannon…
in this day and age of technology and advanced engineering and design it would be nice if these “premier bike builders” would wake up and realize there advanced designs built around 100 year old engine technology is old hat.. no matter how you slice it, no matter how much billet and forging goes into it, no matter how many valves and cams you stick in it, even with modern electronics, its still an overgrown, aircooled, 2 cylinder, lawnmower motor…
The footpegs are in the feet forward position but the handlebars are in a lean forward sport bike position. The ergonomics are fcuked up!! Back to the drawing board.
I’d hate to see the repair bill for dropping this bike.
Other than that, I’ll buy one as soon as the government bails me out for my foreclosed house.
looks cool, but the best confederate could do at last month’s speed trials was 166mph… that’s kinda like the thrust ssc team claiming they broke the speed of light!

while it looks cool, there are a couple things i hate about it 1) neiman marcus and 2) it looks terribly uncomfortable.
Looks cool, uncomfortable, and not something I would want out in the rain.
Then again, most things in luxury catalogs are just that.
I like the radical and original look of the bike. Not practical, but is practicality the point for 90 percent of bikes? It’s not another wad of plastic, and not another stretched-out chop. Have to agree about the lawnmower motor, though — A Buell 1125 would be more fitting for the high-tech look, though you’d have to find space for the radiator, etc etc. Good on Confederate for kicking the styling can down the road.

If they turned the V-Twin sideways like a Guzzi they would be able to get the wheelbase down to something reasonable (sub 59-inches).

is this what the Renovatio Project evolved into? if so, i gotta say i’m disappointed. on it’s own The Fighter is gorgeous. i love the liberties Confederate take with their styling. but not up to par with some of their other offerings and concepts in my opinion.
