Montesa Motorcycle Scale Model

Scale models have come a long way but I’ve often found motorcycle models to be just a little off in some proportion, somewhere. Maybe the tires are just a little bit too large for the wheel to look right or some tubing or wiring looks wrong, but up close you can always tell they’re models and not the real thing. And then, there are models like this one, just to prove it can be done right.
This is a 1963 Impalia 175 cc Sport Montesa from Fine Art Models. They do ships, cars, airplanes, trains and more and looking up close everything they do looks for all the world like the real thing was somehow magically miniaturized and placed on a stand. This Montesa is like that, it’s a little version of the real thing. Sure, models like this aren’t cheap but if you need just the right bike for your display case, something like this would be worth looking into. Check out some of their other work, too. Very impressive.

I have seen Fine Art Models “Products” in person on several different occasions. I saw their Jeep in a Diaroma display in the Detroit airport, and their Corsair F4G1 several years ago.
they do no advertising, save from the Detroit airport display. They sell out everything, and they are not cheap, but if ever there was a more true statement of “you get what you pay for” I’ve not seen it.
I do not have the vocabulary to describe the staggering detail and quality that these “models” exude.
As an avid motorcyclist and former National level model builder in the early 80’s I can tell you that these are the very best I have EVER seen.
