Ducati Do It Yourself Maintenance Videos

Chris Kelly has been posting maintenance tips and general information about keeping your Desmo in top shape on his website for several years. He’s now adding videos for some of the basic procedures like changing your own oil plus giving the lowdown on more advanced work like installing a new chain and even the the black art of adjusting the desmodromic valvetrain.
If you’re a capable mechanic, these videos should give you a little heads up on what you need to do but if you haven’t opened up your engine before or had much experience with maintenance in general, I would caution you to proceed carefully. Motorcycle maintenance can be an enjoyable part of the whole ownership experience but it isn’t much fun if you start working on your pride and joy only to find out you just caused thousands of dollars worth of damage because you misinterpreted what you saw. The wonders of youtube make it possible for anyone to put up a video, so be careful out there!
I would expect more of this type of video instruction via youtube to become available very quickly. Those who do a good job of producing videos with high quality information and procedures will gain an appreciative audience.
