This kind of award is always open to debate and nowhere here do they indicate which motorcycles were considered to be in the competition so …

hmm, Italian bikes take 5 of the top 6 places, go figure (is Husky still italian?). I guess if you put together an american team of “experts” any number of Harleys would be in the top ten. It must be terribly hard to be impartial.

also strange that all the bikes can be bought brand new… because everyone knows that the 999 looks better than the 916 (or desmoseidici) and that the only good looking bike in the art of the motorcycle display was the mv agusta f4!

Hope I don’t raise too many hackles, but isn’t this a bit like the American Football championship calling itself the “World Series”? Or the major league baseball for that matter?
No one else is allowed to play…
On the flip side, when they make lists of the ‘Greatest Players Ever’ the old, dead ones still get a nod…

I’ve got two pictures in my office, one is a 996, one a 999R
Can’t help getting drawn to the 996
Single sided swingarm does it for me
Mv is just so beautiful
So, if I had the money, it would be one of each the two most beautiful bikes ever, 916 (996) and F4 Tamburini
Bret Fogelman says
That is a hilarious result. Ducati, the motojounalists, the dealers and most Ducatisti now admit the 999/749 and Terblanches other “work” were total styling disasters. He also destroyed the once-beautiful Supersport series and the Multistrada is an ugly joke. The 916 series, Desmosedici, and now 1098 are far better looking bikes. I think his only decent bike (the Supermono) must have been ripped off from Tamburini.
