The Vincent Owners Club Spares Company located in Lymm, Cheshire UK, has built a brand new Vincent Black Shadow from all new parts available through their shop. Engine, frame, everything is brand new. The new Black Shadow has been officially handed over to the Vincent Owners Club and after appearing in a few shows, the bike will be offered for sale to members of the club.
This is a great opportunity for someone to experience what the old bikes were like when they were new, so often when a restored original of any old and valuable bike comes up for sale, the owner is afraid to ride it much since broken parts are a concern and the sheer value of the bike can make it unwise to take it anywhere.
The VOC wanted to keep their bikes on the road and started the spares company to manufacture parts. One part leads to two, then ten until finally you have the whole bike. Cool.

It’s beautiful, and new…how awesome it is to build a brand new bike from the past. Don’t we all wish we could ride brand new vehicles from the past sometimes. Just a priceless experience. Cheers to the Vincent Owners Club Spares Company!

No offense to the Vincent club, or to the people selling the replacement parts, but what would one of these cost? Yes it’s a gorgeous machine, but personally I don’t have the kind of money we’re probably talking about here, so I would just assume get my Britbike fix on a modern day Triumph Bonneville, which I’d really like to do just as soon as I get a 91-95 Ducati 900 SS-CR, a 79 RD400 Daytona Special, a nice 600/650 thumper enduro, and a K model BMW. I really need to finish my degree and start earning more money… Oh yeah I almost forgot, I really want an 86-87 FZR1000 as well.

Matt,
Owning something like this is like owning art—you do it for the appreciation and the contentment you get every time you see it. Yes, it undoubtedly more for the impassioned enthusiast with a larger wallet than others. The Vincent Black Shadow is a timeless motorcycle.
P.S. Definitely finish your college degree!

That’s amazing that you could buy all of the parts and build your own. Just amazing.

i’ve heard of the possibility that a few places would be allowed to build these from VOC parts, and i’m wondering if anybody has started yet…

People have been doing that for decades with Harleys; they’re called choppers.
