We mentioned that rocket bike last week which was pretty cool, well this guy is over the top. Ky Michaelson, also known as The Rocketman, has had a fascinating life of building some really cool rocket powered vehicles, a rocket Harley (used to jump over 26 buses back in 1977), a rocket go cart (that went 252mph), a rocket trike, rocket bicycle, rocket snowmobile, … you get the picture, he’s into rockets.
The Rocketman comes from a family of tinkerer types, his father developed a motorcycle transmission, an airplane oxygen mask and numerous other things and passed on the builder trait to his son. Ky built a very nice twin 650cc BSA drag bike when he was young and recently built another one (pictured here) that looks very sharp.
His website is full of very cool stuff, plus there’s a store for various rocket parts if you’re so inclined. Definitely worth a visit.
