Here’s an interesting vintage racer for sale, though, seeing it’s the only one ever made, you probably wouldn’t want to thrash it at the track. It’s a 1936 Supercharged Scott T.T. racer. It has a 500cc 2 cylinder, 2 stroke and according to the description was found on a dock in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England where the owner left it while he was spending time in a Japanese POW camp in WWII. The supercharger, among various other parts were missing, eventually found and the bike was totally restored.
This is definitely a pretty cool vintage motorcycle. Neat technology for 1936, too.

The other name in two strokes before the war was DKW – in fact, while the little Scot marque is oft-remembered, DKW was huge in the 1930’s but is now nearly forgotten. Supercharging? Yeah, DKW did supercharging, but with a trick split/single cylinder.

Boy, wouldn’t it be fun to see – and hear! – these old blown two strokes run some laps.
