Sorting through The Kneeslider’s mail this morning (the print stuff, not email) I found an issue of a brand new magazine from England, it’s called Sideburn and it’s all about the dirty world of go fast, turn left flat trackers. Flipping through the pages I found a display ad for Bratstyle, then I see the feature article on Deus Ex Machina. Well, they had my attention, I figured it deserved a closer look.
The smaller format magazine had lots of cool stuff, an article about flat track in the Netherlands, an interview with Nicky Hayden talking about his dirt track days, ads for flat track gear, the story about Deus I already mentioned and a neat article about a fellow who built a street tracker using a new Triumph Bonneville engine. (shown below) Interesting, very interesting. If you’re looking for a high gloss, flashy magazine, this isn’t it. If you like flat trackers, street trackers and everything related to getting dirty at high speed, you might want to look this over.
Check out their website for more information.

There seems to be more and more interest in flat track racing. Is it possible that super bike has just become to boring?
Thanks Kneeslider your always ahead of the curve!

I think that’s the best street tracker I’ve seen yet – very cool! That would be perfect for the city – bet it sounds great too.

Also, I’m pretty certain that the bike used in the background of Sideburn’s website is heavily modded TW200/225… I’ve got one of those!

That Triumph looks awesome. If it had a 270° crank like the America, it would sound like a Ducati… what’s not to love? Mule did a Triumph streettracker and Bonneville Performance has raced a bike in AMA Dirt Track. I wish Triumph would get the hint.
