Scrap Metal Art

By Paul Crowe

scrap metal scooterA few weeks ago I write about a guy making motorcycle art from old computer parts, very cool stuff. Now, things like that just keep popping up. Here’s a site, Metaldude, selling art made from scrap car parts, motorcycle parts and just plain old scrap metal. There are several motorcycle pieces but there’s a lot of other work, too. The sci-fi section is very weird with 7 foot tall Aliens and a Predator along with Star Wars creatures and vehicles.

Have to hand it to these guys, I don’t see those things in piles of scrap. I knew that a long time ago when I saw a Picasso piece of a bull’s head built from a bicycle saddle and handlebars. It’s one of those left brain / right brain things, I always see what the parts came from before it broke and I wonder how to fix it. These guys build something new. Neat. Link via Boing Boing.
