Micke Fredriksson of UmeÃ¥ Sweden, decided to build a 3 wheeler powered by a GSX-R1000 engine. Last year he completed his project and has since removed the rear section and converted it into 4 wheel configuration. Depending on the angle, it looks pretty good, though from some angles it doesn’t flow quite so well, but the real interest here is the amount of engineering and custom building done. The trike was fully road legal and the car is intended to be the same. Performance from the trike was 0-120 mph in 10 seconds and over 1g lateral.
The engine received a turbo with a fully custom intake and intercooler setup. A reverse gear was fashioned from an electric winch motor and some added gearing. The body was built up from scratch, first carving the plug for the composite covering and then making all of the pieces.
I like the guys who decide to build something and then do it. Need a piece? OK, let’s make one. Cool.
Thanks for the tip, Mark!

I keep telling myself I’ll build one someday for fun and the challenge. Thanks for the continued inspiration.

I have been following this project off and on for over a year now. THis is an awesome peice of engineering for sure. I recommend you go to the wbsite and watch some of the videos that are there – used to be at least.
This trike could lay a burnout for a couple km if he tried…
Would love to take this out on a track somewhere.

the three wheeler is certainly more interesting on an engineering level. but the car is way nicer to look at. cheers to him for building what couldn’t be bought.

I am not a fan of the styling, but I give props to this guy who had the guts to go out and actually build a unique vehicle. His photoshop pictures with the full enclosure tend to make it look better. I like the reverse trike layout and this guy took it to the track. I have seen many other reverse trikes who never show them on the track, let alone going down the highway.
