If your garage is too small for a serious motorcycle build, you can clear a spot on your desk, pull out those old watches you tossed in a drawer a couple of years ago and get started today. All of these motorcycles are built from discarded watch parts, they’re what you might call a real pocket bike because they’ll obviously fit in your pocket without any trouble. I think they’re pretty neat.
These are the work of Jose Geraldo Reis Pfau of Brazil, who has been making sculptures from all sorts of things for years but he’s found the watch based art is pretty popular. He also made some from discarded eyeglasses but, personally, I like the watch art the best.
Over the years, I’ve pointed out a lot of motorcycle art created from scraps of various kinds and it all looks neat, Michael Ulman’s is my favorite so far though even computer hard drives can serve as a parts bin when you’re working in miniature. Check out these watch motorcycles first, but be sure to look at the other ones, too. I bet you’ll find a few you really like.

These are excellent. I don’t care for watches but I really am enjoying them being repurposed into motorcycle art! I wonder if there are any on Ebay?

Pretty cool. I’ve been turning over some ideas in my head for the reverse — watch art from motorcycle parts 🙂
Anyone got a couple feet of scrap chain they want to part with?

ok – so he doesn’t do bikes, but who doesn’t love a scorpion?
hey chris – as a watch freak, I immediately thought of the old fusee watches – check this out!

check out the chain coiled at about 5 o’clock – if you figure the whole watch is about 1.7″ across, just how small is each of those links?

I love this guy bikes from watch parts. I too make bikes … my bikes are choppers , made from discarded VCR’s , computers, clothes hanger wire, and most any scrap that I can find. Take a look at my site… http://www.ibuildchoppers.com
