There’s a new website launching today, Uncommon Motors. This is a spin off from The Kneeslider and HorsePowerSports and the entire focus is going to be on vehicles for sale. Naturally there will be a lot of motorcycles, but there will be cars, trucks and really almost any self propelled motor vehicle that looks to be special in some way. I’ll be the editor and publisher there, same as here, but it gives me the opportunity to focus on what’s for sale without mixing those listings with the news and tech articles you see here.
Motorcycles I might have put here will now be on Uncommon Motors along with a lot of other interesting vehicles, so don’t expect it to be only bikes, but most of you have wide ranging interests just like I do, so I think you’ll like what you see. For those readers of The Kneeslider who aren’t as interested in the bikes for sale, you’ll see fewer articles about them here, though some will still sneak through if the bike is really special.
Uncommon Motors will also offer you the ability to list your own bike for sale. I don’t have it fully set up yet, but you’ll be able to feature your bike and get in front of our readers all over the world. If you have it on eBay or Craigslist or any other online site already, you’ll be able to buy a spot on Uncommon Motors, too, for an additional traffic boost. Prices and options will be up soon.
The best thing to do is just head over to Uncommon Motors now and check it out and then sign up for the email alerts. Whenever I put up a new listing, you get a quick email to let you know. Your next bike might show up one of these days and it would be a shame to miss it. If you’re thinking of selling something soon, this might be the place to do it. The listings will be a bit selective, we can’t put up everything that might be for sale at any time, the point is to show you what’s a bit out of the ordinary, a rare or unusual vehicle, something well preserved, a quality restoration or just a great modification, high mileage beaters need not apply.
Well, that’s all for now, so go ahead, check it out.

It’s an interesting site. Seems a bit like BringATrailer for the tinkering crowd.
Too bad my budget only extends to “high mileage beaters” these days.

Seems interesting, but a price should be required. There’s no way to judge whether or not it’s worth the time to chase a vehicle for sale if you don’t know how much it will cost.

C’mon Paul, for some of us a high mileage beater can be very interesting.
That being said, I get that you need to be more selective. Good luck with the new site. While I am busy trying to wear out this Duke, I’ll keep an eye on it.
