Aniket has been building a new website for his very popular 700cc Musket V-Twin. He recently repainted the tank with his new logo, 2 muskets standing in a V design behind the words Enfield Musket. I think it looks very professional and captures the essence of the V-Twin project.
His site is just starting out but looks good so far. The section on “process” should be an interesting one, with some photos of how the whole engine came together. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

The project seems to be getting better. I am just not sure calling a motorcycle The Musket is the correct name for todays market even though I understand heritage of the British arms companies etc.

This is a great project. One nice thing in using a bike like the Bullet from which to start is that it will still be in production by the time you get around to accomplishing your dream.
I’ve seen too many models discontinued before I ever got around to designing and building pieces for them. That isn’t much of a problem if you’re building it for yourself but if you plan on making some sort of business off of making new bikes out of existing models you’re out of luck.

Too cool. I wish I was making better use of my Industrial Design degree.

The Musket looks to be an example of building on tradition in the finest way. Simple and elegant, and I’d bet it’s a pretty nice machine to ride, too.

@ Steve
I don’t think that’s as bad as “Indian”. Heck, they might as well put a Winchester rifle holster in the accessories catalog.

Interesting bike, lame logo

Love that low, low idle. Better yet, it revs freely from that rumpity, rump idle. Wonderful work.
