Chinese MotoGP circuit

By Paul Crowe

Start finish straightThe website for the new Shanghai race track has a lot of photos of the facilities and a track layout. Wow! The place looks amazing, not to mention two straights where the bikes should top 200mph, the kind of straights where you look for another upshift or an extra 1000 rpms. How do you set up a bike for a track like that? Lots of turns and very high speed. This is going to be quite interesting and I will definitely be watching. 2PM Sunday on the east coast.

The pits are also very large and elaborate with all of the room necessary for automotive teams. The track is designed to attract all sorts of racing including Formula 1 and they obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. Nice job.

Zongshen will also have two riders in the race on a Chinese/Italian racebike, the product of a Zongshen/Aprilia co-effort.
