Did women ever really ride motorcycles like this? I'm old enough to remember, based on the 1967 vintage ads shown here but I don't ever recall seeing women cruising down the street with their significant other, feet swung to one side, resting on the rear peg. At least one company thought they did this often enough to market a footrest specifically designed to keep women's feet … [Read more...]
SnowJob Twin Tracked Motorcycle Conversion Kit
Have any of you ever seen one of these? It's called SnowJob and was sold by Advanced Recreation Equipment of Mountain View, California in 1973. The conversion is a twin track assembly that your motorcycle bolts into after removing the wheels and it looks like the chain is used to drive the tracks. Wilwood Stealth Perimeter Brake System

One of the unique design characteristics was his use of a 26 inch front wheel and tire and as I asked in the comments on that story, where do you get 26 inch tires? I never saw them in any tire catalog I've run across. Well, the other day I did a little digging and they … [Read more...]

Finding a good road can be a little hit or miss and it's a little disappointing to get home and … [Read more...]
