Just yesterday we were saying MotoGP has a large psychological element and with all of the pressure on Rossi to wrap up another title and rumors about his move to F1 swirling around, the qualifying results for the Japanese Grand Prix are in and Loris Capirossi is on the pole with a record time and Rossi is in 11th. There was a little screw up and Rossi crossed the start line 3 seconds after qualifying ended so he couldn’t get the lap in he wanted but little things like that can happen. He has to keep his edge. This should be an interesting race to see if he can move up. He needs to finish first or second to win the championship.
