Bert Munro Books – World’s Fastest Indian

By Paul Crowe

With all of the press about The World’s Fastest Indian, you might be interested to know there are a couple of books about Bert Munro, One Good Run : The Legend of Burt Munro by Tim Hanna and Burt Munro Indian Legend of Speed by George Begg.

The publication of the first book by Tim Hanna was timed to coincide with the release of the movie starring Anthony Hokins. The other book by George Begg has lots of rare early photos and some color photos as well.

I would expect both of these books to get a lot more circulation in the coming months due to the movie’s current run. If you want to get the background on Bert Munro, probably far beyond what you’ll find at the theater, these might be nice additions to your shelf.
