by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider" on 5/10/2005

Around the Great Lakes, we really appreciate the return of good weather. After what has seemed like a very long, cold and wet Spring, the weather has finally turned. I’ve said before, those of you in the warmer areas may not feel quite the same about it but when the bad weather lasts so long, [...]

Motorcycle winner thinks they’re unsafe

by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider" on 4/21/2005

Wouldn’t you know it? A guy in Cleveland, Ohio wins a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster in a scratch off lottery game and then says he’ll sell it because he thinks motorcycles are unsafe. If that’s not enough, this same guy had previously won a Cadillac in the same scratch off game. Does he have X-ray [...]

The motorcycle auction I mentioned here has come and gone and the high dollars went to the Harleys. There was a Velocette for $27,000 and Vincent for $24,000 but the highest prices were Harleys. One was a really nice looking HD board track racer that went for $27,250. Interesting results. You can see them all [...]

by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider" on 3/29/2005

in Brainless, General

Maybe I see more of this because I noticed it the first time and it just pops up on my radar. A doctor riding his motorcycle on the way to the hospital to deliver a baby is stopped by a traffic cop.
Dr. Anthony Chidiac was driving his motorcycle 35 mph in a 25 mph [...]

Naked women and traffic cops

by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider" on 3/27/2005

in Brainless, General

Got your attention, didn’t it? Now I have nothing against traffic cops, for the overwhelming majority who do great work, stories like this just make them look bad. But explain to me why a stop on suspicion of drunk driving led these two cops to confiscate the woman’s cell phone, search it for photos [...]

by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider" on 3/24/2005

in Brainless, General

A Connecticut caller to 911 trying to get help for an injured motorcyclist gets the response of “Yeah, too bad” and then they hang up! The call was routed to the State Police barracks and was answered by Trooper Robert Peasley. Thinking they got a wrong number the caller tried again and the next trooper [...]
