2010 Can Am Spyder clutch recall
Bombardier has issued a recall for a some 2010 Can Am Spyder Roadsters for a problem related to the clutch locking up when coming to a stop. Please read the details below.

2010 CAN-AM / Roadster Spyder RT SE5
2010 CAN-AM / Roadster Spyder RS SE5
NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V232000
Potential Units Affected: 1200
Problem: BRP is recalling certain model year 2010 Spyder RS SE5 2nd series and RT SE5 roadsters. When bringing a vehicle equipped with the SE5 semi-automatic transmission to a full stop, the clutch may remain engaged stalling the engine. once the engine is stalled, it could be impossible to re-start and the rear wheel could be blocked. If this happens, the vehicle may not be able to be pushed off the roadway increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: BRP will notify owners and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. the manufacturer has not yet provided the agency with a notification schedule. Owners may contact BRP at 1-888-638-5397.

I understand the recall, but how do you crash a vehicle that cant be moved?
And why have an automatic that cant be put into neutral?

Probably by sitting in the path of the driver behind, talking on his cell phone.
We had our Subaru stall in the middle of the street with an electrical problem. My wife instinctively shifted into park to restart. With the power out, the little switch that allows you to start the car only when the brake is depressed wouldn’t work. It also woudln’t let us shift into neutral so we could move it. We we literally dead in the middle of the street right after a curve. It was pretty scary.
I have a 2010 RTS the big question I have is when are they going to fix my bike? The dealer told me that BRP has not given them a time frame on when the parts will be ready or they have developed corrective parts to fix the problem will be shipped to them. They are on back order. I have a $33,000 paper weight sitting in my driveway.
