The problem with Dymag was that it was too top heavy and there was too much bullshit. I doubt whether the company ever made any profits in the last 20 years which is a shame as there were some good products. However, in the real world, there are only a finite number of investors who can afford to hang about and wait for a return on their investment and Dymags days were numbered a long time ago. Such is life!!

It's hard to beat a set of spoked aluminum rims if you want light. Besides, that's what fits on the old bikes. Regardless, you might have seen the current trend of using a couple of old front mag wheels, one modified to use on the back (but 19") like on the Web Surfer. This seems like quite the ticket. That or look overseas for a set of 125 sport bike wheels (in 17").

Sad to see them go. However, they never responded to my emails or inquiries?
I had asked about making a several sets of Dymags for RZ350s (they used to make them) ...

Needless to say, no interest, no response.

Anyway, I wish that someone would make lightweight wheels in narrow, old school sizes. No one currently does, as far as I know.

So many guys are building specials with cool old bikes ... CBs, RD, KZs etc ... it seems that there must be a market for really light, alloy or magnesium, 18 inch rims in WM1, 2 and 3.

Anyone agree?
