Triumph Sprint ST 1050 rear suspension recall

Triumph is recalling Sprint ST 1050 motorcycles for a problem with corrosion of the rear drag link assembly. Please read the details below.

Manufacturer: Triumph Motorcycles America Ltd
Models affected: Sprint ST 1050
Model Years: 2005-2009
NHTSA Campaign Number: 09V378000
Potential Units Affected: 2849
Problem: Triumph is recalling certain model year 2005 through 2009 Sprint ST 1050 motorcycles manufactured from November 4, 2004 through September 2009. The rear suspension drag link assembly in these motorcycles can fracture due to corrosion. In the event of a fracture, part of the suspension will drop causing the rear tire mudguard to contact the rear tire, which could cause a crash.

Corrective Action: Triumph will notify owners and repair the motorcycles free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during October 2009. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-539-8777.

I have an 06 Speed Triple, they have nearly the same setup as the Sprint, will my bike be affected as well?
