Good on them for replacing them for free. My buddy has an AFX and its served him well. One thing that stood out on his helmet was the quality of the design and paint.

@Kevin: My flip face is extremely easy and convenient to take on and off. I've already got my helmet under my arm as my riding buddies are just pulling their standard helmets off their heads. I hardly ever use pull the flip all the way up, but its convenient for when you're pumping gas or asking someone for directions.

I will not give up my Nolan flip-up. I like its convenience, comfort, quality, and protection. It also has no problem passing all safety requirements.

Besides, I don't think the penetration test has anything to do with the fact that it's a flip-up helmet.

Kevin, Some of us have oversize body parts, Thus we have trouble getting into various protection, Helmets included. If I was at a track day Im sure I could squeeze into a ff helmet, But for every day riding a flip up if fine for us non agressive riders.

Not sure why people want a flip face helmet anyways. Seems like they are deluding themselves. Just get a full face.
