Fred Krugger's Overmile custom
Fred Krugger placed 3rd in the AMD Championship with Overmile, an S&S 103 inch powered custom that looks like a real bike you could ride and enjoy, something customs have not always tried to do. A Baker Powerbox 6 speed gets the power to the wheel, Ohlins handles the bumps up front, Beringer slows it down and a Fournales airride suspension with integrated compressor keeps the back end adjusted to the rider's preference.
Fred Krugger has a great eye for what looks right and this bike is a great example of that. Very nice!

Where on earth is that air suspension hiding? I hope the photos depict the rear suspension in a fully compressed state, because it doesn’t look like there’s *any* room for travel as it is.
Love the bike, not so sure I love the tank cutouts for the cylinders on the right side, though.

Like it or not, I give him credit for doing something different.
I’ve long been a fan of Kruggers work. his website is well worth checking out, and even though I like this one, IMHO he has far better designs than this.
Guys the tank cut outs to clear the heads is a nod to Harleys of the past, I believe it was the JDs aprox 1935 that first notched the tanks. Just a way of using styling cues of the past to keep the Harley Vibe alive.

That was the best-looking bike of the lot, and probably the best engineered from an ergonomic as well as aesthetic point of view.
It should have won by a country mile.

I do like the look but would someone tell me how it stops,,, or is it a short course flat tracker.
Look at the front hub. What do you suppose those calipers on either side do?
This is a beautiful bike. I know what bothers me about the VRod engine now. Its the rocker boxes. I loved the shovel-head rocker boxes from my youth.
I really like it! Great detail work on top of great design concept.
One thing that bothers me a bit though …. Is this guy’s name really Freddy Krugger?
