		<description>Thankfully I haven&#039;t had any probs with my &#039;01 SS750ie, and I&#039;ve been taking care of my own basic maintenance. It&#039;s an air/oil cooled 2valve v-twin and, aside from the desmo valve actuation, it&#039;s a pretty basic design and not too difficult to work on.

That said, the nearest factory dealer is over 2 hours away from me. I&#039;m not planning on getting a new Duc anytime soon, but this does have to really help one feel better about the purchase of a new one, particularly the first time Ducati buyer... if they have a participating dealer nearby.</description>

		<description>be sure to test ride them first.  I didn&#039;t like the Streetfighter much at all after a recent test ride.  The (1999) 750SS that I also test rode felt like a much better sorted bike.
