It's an air/oil cooled 2valve v-twin and, aside from the desmo valve actuation, it's a pretty basic design and not too difficult to work on. That said, the nearest factory dealer is over 2 hours away from me. I'm not planning on getting a new Duc anytime soon, but this does have to really help one feel better about the purchase of a new one, particularly the first time Ducati buyer... if they have a participating dealer nearby.
