Precision motorcycle ridingWith the plethora of riders now doing backflips and other crazy nonsense, a little precision riding seems so mundane, combined with the fact the display shown here is a group of Italian policemen in 1953, there couldn't possibly be anything worth watching, ... but then again, take a minute anyway and see what these guys do. It's actually very cool.

Thanks for the tip, Jim!

In their day this would have been Super Cross level or Rock Stars size of an event, they had had time to train and money to burn. But what a great show.

i believe i’ve seen this before. i’m sure this took a lot of practice and organization to get that kind of coordination out of so many people. i’m impressed.

In this day and age of “individuals”, you would be hard pressed to find enough people pay attention long enough to pull this off!

I saw this on another blog. It’s mesmerizing. I can’t imagine ever having the riding precision to pull something like this off.

By the way, was that Enzo Ferrari in the stands?

Omg hat was amazing! That blew my mind!

There are still folks who do formations in this day and age. They are marching bands and other corps style marching units. On motorcycles, however, I agree. It would be hard to find riders today with that kind of patience to pull it off.

It kind of reminds me of something the Chinese could have done in their Olympic opening ceremonies. :-)

that rocks… i wish there was more cool stuff like this on motorcycles now instead only the stuff that could kill you, easily. this is the type of thing—if as previously pointed out we had enough patience these days—even weekend riders could get good at without death lurking.

Very cool. I liked the riders having to hold the bikes upright as they leaned off one side to go under the bridge, and the reversing spiral.
