Turbo V-Twin Concept Motorcycle by Igarashi Design
September 15th, 2008 at 8:54 am by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Yutaka Igarashi, whose 3D design skills are well above the norm, has created a gorgeous design for a turbo V-Twin motorcycle. There’s very little not to like. A few details are missing, such as gear shift and rear brake levers, but the design overall is quite impressive. A quick browse around his site reveals some other remarkable ideas, like his single seat helicopter, which look very cool. Definitely worth checking out.
Thanks, Mathieu, for the tip!

Loving the Headlamp/Forks configuration.
Only thing is the Headlamp stays pointing in the direction of the frame.

@Nathan: I’m not sure that’s really a big deal. Motorcycles turn by leaning, and the fork isn’t turned more than a couple or three degrees in most normal steering actions.
A fairly large number of faired sportbikes already have headlights that are essentially fixed to the frame (e.g., Suzuki SV650S), so clearly it isn’t a big safety issue. I think this is about the first time I’ve seen it on a fully naked bike, though.

Some interesting design elements here and I like the overall package quite alot. The seat looks really out of place though. But I’ll definitely check out his site.

It’s a Springer!

That is a fine looking machine.

It’s not a turbo. What you see is the exhaust silencer. If it were a turbo it would have an intake manifold back to the engine. Nice work for somebody right out of school. Which is most likely the reason for the missing functional details on his other designs as well.

It’s too busy. The headlight is nice, the seat is nice, but they just don’t flow, particularly with that tank.

Igarashi is an awesome 3d designer-fantastic imagination.I love the bike. it’s also well worth checking out the helicopter and snowmobile on his site- jaw dropping stuff!

Some nice design features on that bike… overall I think it ties together nicely. Love to see a top fabricator replicate this one…

Wow.
I like the way his style shows through consistently regardless of the subject of the design. Be it bike, snowmobile, Coolest Wheelbarrow Ever! or strap-on helicopter, there is no doubt it’s an Igarashi.
I’d like (for completely selfish reasons) to see him tackle something in a practical, street-legal motorcycle, it would be cool to see “remarkable” and “useful” in something that’s not a garden implement.

Nice use of what appears to be desmo-actuated valves.
Did he use modo for any of these designs? The modeling work is very well done.

Strikingly similar to the Dearden Vincent Black Lightning:
