Regarding the comment re: “would she be considered a plus sized girl, today.” If they used a thinner girl, she wouldn’t have covered the big oil spot that leaked through the split crankcase.

My personal favorite was the BSA Spitfire ad in
CW March 1968 pg. 33.
Red and white BSA ….. Red Ferrari 250 LM …. Blonde Girl in a Red mini-outfit unzipped to the waist!

The girls back then do seem to have been a bit more, how shall I say, succulent, than the scrawny types in advertising today.
