I seem to remember reading that when Porsche designed the engine for the v-rod they detuned it to get the Harley wup-wup sound. It would seem reasonable that if you tuned for performance rather than sound you can gain maybe 10-30% even before adding the blower. So Harley is building these engines but it's not really a Harley engine. The question is going to be who will buy it? Many HD riders didn't like the v-rod, so I don't think they want a crotch rocket with no wup-wup, sports bike riders will think it too heavy, too expensive, and had to resort to a blower to match other bikes for power. So why bother? I am guessing this will follow Buell into the history books.

Michael, you're way late to the discussion, the bike is now for sale and has been track tested by multiple magazines. You must also be unfamiliar with digital composite photos to make messy backgrounds disappear. The "reflection" is a simple Photoshop method to give the new clean background some depth. And you may want to check out this photo or this photo in case you're still skeptical. You are obviously new here.

The photos above are clearly renderings, as the reflection in the second photo (http://thekneeslider.com/images/roehr1250sc2.jpg) is clearly not true to to the focal point of the camera. The concept of this bike is fantastic, and I would love to see it become a reality. Please don't try to fool your readers by an enhanced render.

It is good to see an American company building something besides cookie cutter choppers. The engine is a sound design. And if it moves like the Ford Lightin and SVT Mustang with the sound of a Harley heart. I will snap one up for myself.
Now guys. WHATS THE PRICE TAG LOOKING LIKE?
