Riding Across China by Motorcycle

As often happens, our readers find some of the best stories and this one is an excellent example. Tom left a comment on our story about Harley Davidson’s newest China dealership where he pointed to a thread over on ADVrider about a real ride across China on a 200cc dual sport motorcycle with lots of narrative and photos along the way. As you can easily see from many, if not most, of the photos, the roads are not exactly cruiser country.
If you like the idea of doing a little adventure riding, and this account makes it look fun, this story is worth your time. Some of the Harley Davidson folks might want to read it, too! Maybe bringing back one of their old HD trail bikes from the 1960s wouldn’t be a bad idea. A Buell Ulysses might work, too.

I would love to have the time off and free money to take a trip like this!
My favorite trip story on AdvRider at the moment is the Angola one:

It’s a long read, but incredible.
