S&S 50th Anniversary Celebration and Bike Build

October 15th, 2007 at 8:49 am by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"

S&S Cycles 50th Anniversary Celebration and Bike BuildS&S has just announced the builder and sponsor list for their 50th Anniversary Bike Build running in conjunction with the S&S 50th Anniversary Celebration. This looks good, … really good. Using engines from across the S&S line will be 50 builders from all around the world, all the usual suspects will be involved, from the U.S custom builders you would expect to see to international builders you might not.

The list is long. Everyone from Orange County Choppers, Cory Ness and Jesse Rooke to Fred Krugger, Ace CafĂ© London (Nick Gale), AQG Motociclette (Aldo Querio Gianetto), Italy and many, many more. If these competitors put in their best efforts, the variety and quality of the finished bikes could be absolutely amazing, this could be one of the best bike builds we’ve ever seen.

The official dates for the celebration are from Friday, June 27th, 2008 through Sunday, June 29th, 2008, but some preliminary events will take place on Thursday, June 26th as well. The official location will be at the Oktoberfest grounds adjacent to the Mississippi River in downtown La Crosse, WI, but several other venues will be offered throughout the Seven Rivers Region in Onalaska, West Salem, and Holmen.

If the bike build isn’t enough to get you interested, there will be factory tours, dyno shootouts, street drags, concerts, riverboat cruises and special riding routes to make sure you see the best the area has to offer … are you checking your calendar yet? This sounds like a must attend event and you might want to think about reservations very soon.

Nice tip, Doug!
