Aluminum and Titanium Info for Motorcycle Builders
September 13th, 2007 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"After my post on anodizing aluminum the other day, Mark Savory sent these links to some information on both aluminum and titanium. One thing I’ve learned since posting that article, from both the comments and these links, is that aluminum is NOT the only metal that can be anodized, it also applies to magnesium, titanium, and tantalum.
The information in these articles, directed at bicycle builders but applicable to motorcycle builders, as well, is the kind of thing that separates the garage hack from the person that knows what they’re doing. Good stuff and if you’re a techie, interesting in its own right.
Thanks, Mark!
