Port-A-Chopper Motorcycle Powersports Trailer

Sometimes you need a trailer, most of the time it just sits around taking up space. QC Metal Fab, Inc. of Elkhart, Indiana makes a collapsible trailer that will knock down for easy storage, reassemble without tools in 15 minutes and if you take it somewhere, the trailer will fit in the trunk of your car or the back of your truck until you need it to trailer your bike home. So far, so good. In fact, that alone makes it a pretty neat piece of gear, ... but wait, there's more!

A nice feature of this trailer are two add on kits that will convert the Port-A-Chopper into a utility trailer or a personal watercraft trailer. They supply all of the brackets, you slip in some pieces of standard lumber and presto, new trailer. Cool. They also have options for wide ramps and channels if your bike has a wide rear tire plus fender options and either 8 or 12 inch tires.

We mentioned the Bikelug, some months back, another collapsible trailer. Both of these seem well made and depending on your needs one may be better than the other. The utility trailer and watercraft options of the Port-A-Chopper just looked like a nice feature to me. Neither the Port-A-Chopper or the Bikelug would work for someone who needs a lot of capacity on a regular basis or anyone looking for weather protection, but for those occasional times when you really need a trailer, they look like a nice option.
