Las Vegas Vintage Motorcycle Auction
December 21st, 2006 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Just received my color catalog for the Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction from MidAmerica Auctions and if there’s a hole in your collection somewhere, you might want to run out to Nevada, January 11th through the 13th. The list of bikes offered is currently at 552 and it includes a lot of very rare machinery along with some not quite as rare but really nice looking vintage motorcycles from practically every manufacturer. Vincents and Velocettes, Harleys and Hodakas, Cottons and Crockers, it’s enough to make you check your bank balance and see if your credit line is high enough.
Found a few interesting bikes mixed in like the Harley Davidson powered Norton framed racer in the photo above. Looks kinda cool.
There’s a company handling online bidding, too, so if you can’t travel there you can still get in on the action. They estimate about 25 bikes will go on the block each hour so it should be a fast moving event. Might make a nice trip to get away for a few days, maybe bring back a bike, too.
