Bonneville Vintage GP and Concours
June 26th, 2006 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
The new Miller Motorsports Park just had its inaugural AMA races and I notice they’ve scheduled the Bonneville Vintage GP for September 15th, 16th and 17th, 2006. They have a full slate of vintage racing, swap meet and a Concours d’ Elegance sponsored by Motorcycle Classics Magazine.
This new facility is getting great reviews from everyone who has been there so far and they seem to be working hard to build up a schedule of events like this one. Close to the Bonneville Salt Flats, the Vintage GP will be run at the same time as the Bonneville World of Speed which is September 13-16. They’ve even set up an opportunity for the vintage racers to take a shot at running on the salt on Sept. 14th.
It looks like this could be a lot of fun for everyone, racers and spectators, just be sure to bring a lot of sunscreen and water, especially if you plan to head over to the salt flats.
