Honda Production Motorcycles 1946-1980

Some guys know everything about certain motorcycle companies, they can cite every model produced over the years, but for the rest of us, there are some really good books and Mick Walker just came out with a new one for the Honda guys, Honda Production Motorcycles 1946-1980. It covers all the Honda models from the start and continues right up to the early 1980s. Those years include the Honda Dream, the 305 Scrambler, all of the early CB series like the CB750 and the introduction of the CBX. The early Gold Wings are in there, too. It’s just the thing if you want to fill in a few gaps in your knowledge or if you are looking to buy an early Honda and want to make sure what model came when.

The book is already out in Europe and will be released very shortly here in the U.S. If you like the early Hondas, you might want this one.

The book is fine so long as you’re only concerned with Hondas released in the US and Europe. It doesn’t include Japan-only models like the X-4.

Oops… actually, I was thinking of a different book! This one stops at 1980, so it wouldn’t have the X-4 anyway.

However, books of this type sometimes leave out models from other regions, so be on guard.

Hi, I have bought model Honda CB 750 G from year 1977. I would be very grateful for any information about history of this G model - how many bikes had been produced, technical data etc. Thanks, Sidney.
