The XL Sportster is not the entry leval Harley, nor the poor mans Harley. The Sporty ruled the roads in its early years and remained the fastest Harley in the lineup until fairly recently. I have owned many bikes through the years and my current Roadster remains a very satisfying bike to ride. I can afford most any bike I care to buy,I chose my Sporty for valid reasons,Thank You.

Storz has the substitute answer to Americans not getting a new Harley that a lot of Americans helped keep Harleys business from going UPSIDE DOWN, that would have sold well in the United States (Estado Unidos) I want one myself.

This is what a Harley sports bike should look like, if they just put the buell spec motor in it then it would be spot on

I loved the XLCR from my pre-license days. I read Enthusiast mag because my dad worked at the engine plant. I always fantasized what I would have to do to a Harley to make it into the bike that I really wanted.
That would have to include enough HP to get it going. That would mean investigating new heads for twin carb front to back flow like the racing bikes, flowed heads, wild cams, stripped of ANY excess weight, offset crank pins for 90 degree firing, six speed and mulit plate clutch that would allow my forearms to remain symetrical, Brembos, rearset controls and a low handlebar...
Guess that I'll have to wait for that lottery ticket to pan out!! (or just find the Ducati dealer)
