Blade Rod Honda Streetfighter

Blade Rod Honda StreetfighterStarting life as a fully faired Honda CBR900RR Fireblade, used as a stuntbike by Australian, Mark Boxer, this all black "Blade Rod" became a minimalist streetfighter that looks very cool and the best part is there was no exotic high tech work involved. Even better, as the series of photos on his website show, almost all of the work was done inside his apartment! There goes the "I don't have a garage." excuse. One of the primary tools involved was an angle grinder. He had some powder coating done, a bit of spray paint, a few pieces were ordered and the end result is a bike that looks like one helluva lot of fun. Nice work, Mark!

This amateur homebuilt, to my eye, takes a _much_ more interesting stab at the kind of design direction a future v-max should take than Yamaha’s recent Tokyo concept.

I like this a lot. It has a similar seating position as the Confederate Hellcat.

If the major OEMs includes this type of model in their lineup it would sell.

The sport/performance bike that the lifelong cruiser rider could ride.
