Smartuki video
December 19th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Here’s a video of the Smartuki in action. If you doubt that motorcycle powered cars have potential, you need to see this. Also listen, it sure doesn’t sound like your average Smart car!
Update: I also came across this video of a Smart car running into a barrier for those of you who think they would just fall apart. Amazing stuff!

That little thing sounds awesome! Looks goofy though, what with the top-heavy profile and all. I’d like to see how it was doing in the turns…

The thing looks rediculously dangerous. I just wish Suzuki would build a Reno or Aerio with a hyabusa motor in it. Why aren’t there more econo-racers around? Even the new mini has been tamed up to be “cute”. Oh well, I guess that’s why I ride bikes.

Do some research, Matt!
They are far from top-heavy. The motor is between the rear wheels and they have the mercedes stability control.

The U.K. government will test the smart car after it arrives on the market. Builders predict it will receive four out of five stars in American crash tests. European models recently received four out of five stars in Euro New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) tests.
