The Kneeslider’s new look
December 16th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"If you’re a regular reader of The Kneeslider, you’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting much recently. Well, I was down in the engine room mucking about. The Kneeslider has been chugging along on some very old machinery and it needed a bit of a rebuild. This morning I backed everything up and checked everything ten times and here’s the result.
It’s far from done and there is a ton of cosmetic work still waiting but the big switch is over and since you’re reading this, it obviously went OK. (Phew!)
If you run into any problems let me know. A few links and buttons aren’t set up yet but everything else should be working.

Nice surprise to find one of my favourite motorcyclesites with a new layout! Looks great and what a (*) of a job it must have been. Congrats and keep up the good work. Love, Hanny (The Netherlands).

Thanks for the feedback, guys … and gals
A little more tech work down in the bowels of The Kneeslider and I’ll be able to get back to posting. I knew I had to upgrade but the upfront preparation and tweaking, … wow! This new version has a lot of added capabilities and flexibillity, very cool, and I can’t wait to dig in a bit more. Stay tuned …

Real nice. The buttons near the top run off the left (IE 6.0), but I’m sure that’s easy to solve.

I’ve noticed the buttons sometimes start off to the left in IE6 but if you refresh they come right back. I’ll work on that.

Have you looked at your new layout with the Firefox web browser? All the left side menus are at the top and the content doesn’t start until they end. I have to scroll down several pages to get to the article. Firefox is getting popular - 15% or more of my vistors use it.
