Tim Cameron’s Dreambike is being built
November 7th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Tim Cameron, our favorite Aussie designer who’s computer creations are nothing short of amazing, has found a builder for his Dreambike. Christian Travert, designer of the Y2K jetbike, you know, the one Jay Leno zips around on, has taken on the task of moving this bike from computer image to real motorcycle.
Building a bike like this is going to take no small amount of engineering. Look at the image and you’ll notice little things like two wheel drive and a front swingarm instead of a fork, nice futuristic touches all powered by a Harley Davidson V-twin. That’s some combination and it will be really interesting to see what comes of this. Stay tuned.

I will believe it when I see it. That is a HUGE undertaking, and the fit/finish on the Y2K bike was not all that… polished. From what I saw… Will be interesting to follow this.

Surely a lot of modifications to the original 3D mesh will be required! Will the thing go, stop, and turn?
Interesting project, I give it a 1 in 100 shot at succeeding though.

Christian emailed me to say that the Dreambike will be in production in 2006, with the prototype out at the beginning of the year. The project started the end of this past May.
