Confederate Motorcycles to resume production
November 6th, 2005 at 6:30 am by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Confederate Motorcycles has announced on their website that production for the ‘06 Hellcat will resume on February 1st, 2006 and production for the ‘06 Wraith will begin on April 2nd, 2006. There is a photo of the New Orleans factory on their home page which shows what they have had to deal with. It wasn’t the flood that did the damage but the wind caused the building to collapse. Most of the parts and pieces were elsewhere when this occured however, final assembly obviously stopped in its tracks since the New Orleans location was where that took place.
Everyone hopes they get back on their feet as quickly as possible. Now if only I could afford a Hellcat, I’d be perfectly willing to contribute to their rebuild.
