AirVest promoters sentenced

October 25th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"

John Duhamell and Toni Duhamell, promoters of an inflatable motorcycle vest know as the “AirVest,” were sentenced in San Bernardino County Superior Court. The Duhamell’s made a number of false statements about their company to potential investors, bilking them of over $5 million dollars.

The pair said Harley Davidson had invested heavily in the company and that John Duhamell was the son of investor Kirk Kerkorian, neither claim being true. The pair took investors’ money and instead of putting it into the company, simply used it to live a very um… “inflated” lifestyle. The now deflated pair are looking at multiple years in less lavish surrounding.
